G Suite at Universities: Possible Benefits and Risks

Cílem této bakalářské práce je popsat a porovnat informační systémy čtyř českých univerzit, konkrétně Vysokého učení technického v Brně, Masarykovy univerzity, Univerzity Tomáš Bati ve Zlíně a Mendelovy univerzity v Brně. Práce se zaměřuje na celkový vzhled a design popsaných informačních systémů, se zaměřením na organizaci, přehlednost a navigaci mezi moduly a aplikacemi systémů. Navíc se bakalářská práce zaměřuje na konkrétní moduly informačních systémů, zejména na rozvrhy, emaily a zprávy, úložiště souborů a systémy řízení výuky – tyto moduly jsou analyzovány a hodnoceny studenty daných univerzit v praktické části práce. Dále práce analyzuje a popisuje Google Aplikace, jejich bezpečnost a soukromí a praktická část také zjišťuje užívání Google Aplikací v osobní a univerzitním životě. Práce rovněž diskutuje a soustředí se na synchronizaci a konverzi informačních systému s G Suite vyplývající z výsledků kvantitativního výzkumného šetření.
Formation of Pro-Russian Sentiment in Belarus and Serbia during the Russian Invasion of Ukraine

This thesis examines how Russia uses propaganda to build alliances with Serbia and Belarus in order to expand its influence and mobilize support. The study investigates the specific narratives and messages employed online focusing on how they shape public opinion and create a positive perception of Russia within the targeted countries. To get practical insights into the subject, the content analysis chosen as a research method for the thesis focuses on the content of selected media outlets in each studied country. In this context, the formation of pro-Russian sentiment is viewed as a social movement seeking social change. The thesis also incorporates the concept of hybrid warfare, which offers valuable insights into contemporary Russian strategic thinking and security challenges.
Czech Luxembourges in french contemporary historiography

Petra JEDINÁKOVÁ, CZECH LUXEMBOURGES IN FRENCH CONTEMPORARY HISTORIOGRAPHY, Prague, Faculty of Philosophy, Charles University in Prague 2012. The aim of this thesis is to consider the relationship of Czech Luxembourg dynasty towards the French dynasty and the impact of their policies in western Europe. The work also focuses on different ways of perception of the Luxembourgs in both Czech and French environment and reasons for such observations. The Luxembourg dynasty, being originally an earl family of the French from Luxembourg, always had a strong relation towards France and its ruling dynasty which was based on mutual respect, friendship, similar opinions and also family bonds, the successors were educated at the French court. The two countries supported each other in fight andalso by mutual contact, visits and in terms of diplomacy. We have testimonies regarding these events thanks to medieval sources such as chronicles, annals, documents, correspondence and texts of authors from the French environment, who personally met Czech kings from the House of Luxembourg and therefore left us important insights into the situation of that time. Thesis Media Image of the Government in 2012 is studying how media informed about the political issues within the researched period. Quantitative content analysis through daily newspapers Právo and Lidové noviny in 2012 was used. Theoretical part of the study is focused on the role of media in news reporting, news creation and influences that goes from media organizations and journalist's job. Corresponding theoretical concepts such as news values, accessibility of media, political communication, framing, agenda setting and journalist routines are mentioned. Practical part takes from various foreign research papers that deal with the similar topic. The goal of quantitative content analysis is to gain information on how media portrayed the government in 2012. It also looks at which sources were used and what topics were discussed.

The Bachelor's thesis "The Function and Meaning of Nonverbal Communication in Television News Based on the Example of Newscasters in Czech News Broadcasts" deals with nonverbal means of communication used by the newscasters on the three nationwide Czech TV channels (CT1, Nova, Prima) and their main news programs. In the theoretical section, the work focuses on the definitions and classification of nonverbal phenomena, on news and its fundamentals, and last but not least on the definitions and roles of the newscaster within the news. The practical section presents research on particular nonverbal phenomena and makes an effort to answer the preset hypotheses.
Hybridization of TV channelsˇformat on the case of CNN Prima News

The diploma thesis deals with the origin and adaptation of the concept of CNN Prima NEWS on the Czech market and its possible hybridization. The expansion of global media corporations is a phenomenon of the 20th century that affects persisted till present. The television companies set up centers, branches or, through the sale of licenses, reach its audience through localized television stations. This thesis approaches the theory of globalization with a focus on the concepts of global culture, glocalization and hybridization. With standardization of successful patterns the companys strengthen the its positions in the global market, expand their influence and, last but not least, it is a profitable prosperous activity that does not require high costs. The thesis captures the arrival of the licensing concept of a global television station on Czech media market. The thesis develops connection of the global news brand CNN with Czech commercial television. These connections and deviations are elaborated and compared on the basis of three confrontable areas. At the same time, it is evaluated what creates this concept and what are its possible forms of hybridization.
The Role of The TV News Anchorman/woman. The Comparative Analysis Between Public and Commercial Television

The diploma thesis deals with the role of a television news anchorman/woman. It focuses on the origin of the anchorman, the main and characteristic professional prerequisites, and the differences between the anchormen of public and commercial television. The primary role of the moderator is to inform about current events. But in the same time be objective, neutral, and trustworthy, and leave a way expressing one's own emotions. However, these values may differ as to the television broadcasting system. As part of his role in television, they can be a suitable element in media self-presentation. The thesis focuses on work with commercial and public television, analyses the emotional and professional aspects of his work and his contribution to the creation of news programs. The research is also carried out among the public, which enables the main characteristics and functions of moderators.
European migration crisis in Czech and Austrian media

The role of the media within the European migration crisis is the main topic of this work. In the theoretical part I explain the concepts and theories, as well as describe the media systems of the Czech Republic and Austria as countries of interest of the further research. The 'State-of-the-art' section then also presents the research into the coverage of the European migration crisis conducted so far. Some of the studies provide not only interesting findings but also inspiration for my own research part. In the practical part I describe the employed methodology which is formed by a quantitative content analysis. Selected daily newspapers in the Czech Republic and Austria were selected for the research. 502 articles in total were coded to provide data for the findings. The findings provide answers to 7 research questions based on the prevalence of the articles within the selected media, themes of the articles, actors present in the coverage, terms used to describe those trying to enter the EU, employed frames, offered explanations and suggested solutions. The findings show both similarities but also differences between the two countries of interest. The findings can only be generalized to a certain extent as the research has its limitations.
